Ashley Madison List

A group of so-called "hacktivists" have recently stolen customer data from Avid Life Media, the owner of a website known as AshleyMadison.com.  The website is known for its encouragement and facilitation of marital infidelity.  Its motto is: "Life is Short.  Have an Affair."

The data theft is significant for a number of reasons including the fact that it involved the theft of personally identifiable information.  Many commentators are also predicting that the data breach will trigger a flurry of divorce litigation.

If you suspect that personal or financial data belonging to you or a family member has been compromised in this recent data breach, use the section to the right (further below on mobile devices) to see if any familiar email address has been linked to the breach.

And if a familiar email address is linked to the breach, please don't jump to the conclusion that infidelity took place.  There are a number of potentially innocent explanations for the link, including the possibility that the email address was fraudulently or mistakenly entered, or that someone was "just looking."

And if you have questions about your rights or your options, please feel free to contact me directly for a confidential consultation.
